Mini Chocolate Croissants

I am delighted with these little puffed beauties! Not only do they taste delicious and gourmet, but the ingredient list is so simple – and the cooking process is also a breeze. Using puffed pastry takes all the work out of creating this chocolate croissant. Little hands have fun painting with the pastry brush, rolling up the chocolate inside the dough and using the fork to score the edges. All around great treat and a definite thumbs up!

I love that the puffed pastry comes scored in 3 sections which made it easy to create twelve squares. Little miss two needed a lot of help with this but she enjoyed it at the same time.

Captain America came to help bake today! 🙂

What toddler doesn’t love to paint? This was a great part of the project, it was messy and fun.

All ready to go into the oven! I can’t wait to make these again! For another delicious dessert you could cook with your toddler try my Aunt Merlene’s Fresh Strawberry Pie.
