Tacky the Penguin. How my kids love this quirky little penguin who marches to the beat of his own drum and finds that being different is an amazing thing to be. They love these books and so do I. I love the message that Tacky teaches: it’s okay to be unique! With such fun stories and illustrations to go along with it, this is the perfect package. Not to mention that Helen Lester has so many other books, besides Tacky the penguin, that are toddler AND grown up friendly.
Helen Lester‘s books are favorites in our house. The little songs in each of the books are catchy and fun and the kids love reading all about Tacky and his many adventures. The illustrations by Lynn Munsinger are sharp and engrossing and Helen Lester has so many other fun books we haven’t even tapped into. I can’t wait to read them all.
