These books are some of my favorites.  The illustrations are amazing and the stories are super unique and entertaining. From circus animals escaping from their trainer, to a man and his dog who just can’t seem to cut a break, Chris Van Dusen always has great stories. His rhymes are fun, witty and easy to memorize and his characters are so personable.  My son has started reciting several of these stories by heart, because he easily remembers the lines.  I love this author’s books.

Chris Van Dusen does an excellent job appealing to different ages of readers.  The vocabulary is large enough for my 4-year-old but my 2-year-old loves all the pictures of the animals and gets really excited about the funny stories.  The illustrations are so appealing to look at and I am just as entertained as my toddlers.
